POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring new loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio.
Represents the Bank with active participation in community affairs and participates in marketing all of the Bank’s products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.
Monitor an existing loan portfolio consisting of both consumer and commercial credits; Ensuring proper risk ratings and anticipate potential problems.
2.
Source, develop and underwrite new loan relationships and cultivate existing loan relationships.
3.
Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loans with fee income through originations, selling of credit life, and referral of all bank products.
4.
Daily review, approval and disposition of overdrafts.
5.
Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations and present to appropriate levels of authority for approval.
6.
Support the Bank’s strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact and superior product knowledge.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Formal Credit training; ability to understand basic cash-flow analysis using tax returns, Financial Statements, Balance Sheets, Income Statements or Profit & Loss Statements.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or applicable degree area preferred.
