Process payroll transactions for OSU and A&Ms as assigned.
Adhere to processes and procedures to ensure deadlines are met.
Process court ordered deductions.
Process overpayment of wages to employees.
Prepare and/or process claims for non paycheck payments.
Prepare and submit electronic warrant cancellations and related system void.
Prepare and/or review payroll transactions as assigned.
Report and apply electronic personnel action forms (EPAFs).
Communicate issues with payroll management.
Communicate with others and respond to employee, departments, and vendor questions.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
Four years payroll, accounting, or HR related experience.
Up to two years of post-secondary education may be substituted for up to two years of experience.
Strong data entry skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team or independently as applicable.
Ability to focus on detail, ensure thoroughness, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to meet and maintain deadlines for payroll processing.
Ability to analyze, solve and make decisions when issues are encountered.
Ability to communicate with a variety of personalities and skill levels.
Ability to recognize when documentation should be created or requested.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize job responsibilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously, manage large work volumes, show flexibility, and adapt easily to change.
Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical training relation to payroll.
At least four years of experience related to processing a large payroll especially in a Higher Education environment.
Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret legal and/or court documents.
Excellent computer skills including Excel.
Working knowledge of Banner payroll software.
Ability to manually calculate payroll checks.
Understanding of pre/post tax deductions.
Process payrolls of up to 1,000 employees.
Knowledge of Court Ordered deductions.
