Triangle Insurance is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to our team! Starting salary
commensurate with applicable experience.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and practices as normally ac-
quired through work experience and/or education.
A bachelors’ degree in account-
ing or a related field, and two to four years of accounting experience, or an equiva-
lent combination of experience and education is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant performs a variety of accounting tasks to assist the Executive
Director, Accounting and Senior Accountant.
Areas of responsibility include general
ledger maintenance, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts and providing
back up for other staff in the accounting department.
Job Duties include but not limited to the following:
» Working knowledge of GAAP policies and procedures and the ability to apply
those procedures to company specific processes;
» Perform the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements,
invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, fixed asset records, etc.
This
includes monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
» Analyze company expenses for reasonableness, accuracy, and authenticity, and
facilitate payment of those expenses;
» Maintain and ensure accuracy of financial records and reports for management
and outside auditors.
