This employee will provide avionics, airframe, and powerplant technical guidance in the normal operations and maintenance of the T-1A and supporting systems, assistance in the resolution of unusual field problems, interpretation of technical data, instructions in the use of technical data, instruction in the use of support equipment and test equipment, assistance in incorporation of modifications and limited formal training.
This position will be responsible for the administration, tracking, and submission of DR’s for the T-1A program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING DUTIES.
ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY BE IDENTIFIED BY THE ORGANIZATION AND LISTED AS SUCH IN THE EMPLOYEE’S PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL ELEMENTS.
VARIOUS TASKS MAY BE ASSIGNED UNDER EACH ESSENTIAL FUNCTION.
THOSE THAT ARE LISTED UNDER THE EXAMPLES OF WORK ARE NOT ALL INCLUSIVE; THEY ARE EXAMPLES ONLY AND MAY BE AMENDED OR ADDED TO AS NEEDED BY THE ORGANIZATION.
Providing instructions, assistance, and evaluations of equipment and system problems to include fault reporting and isolation of T-1A avionics, airframe and powerplant systems or related subsystems.
Recommending additional training which should be presented to operating command personnel.
Emphasizing safety precautions which should be taken during operation and maintenance of the T-1A aircraft.
Dealing with Coworkers/Customer/Public DR administration EXAMPLES OF WORK EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED IN THIS CLASSIFICATION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING TASKS.
THESE TASKS MAY BE AMENDED OR OTHER TASKS MAY BE ASSIGNED AS NECESSARY.
Analyze aircraft avionics, airframe and powerplant maintenance difficulties and recommend changes to operation, maintenance, inspection and training requirements to improve methods of operation and maintenance.
Assist the operating command in accident investigations, service reporting and material deficiency report evaluations.
Perform hands-on maintenance on T-1A peculiar support equipment maintained by the COMBS, provided this does not interfere with primary duties.
Validate the best methods of installing Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and TCTOs.
Participate in hands-on tasks when authorized by the FAC and the T-1A Administrator, Maintenance Support.
Provide interpretations of technical data to include technical orders, ADs, SBs, drawings and wiring diagrams.
Provide instruction and assistance in removal and installation of aircraft components.
Provide instruction and OJT training in the operation and maintenance of the T-1A aircraft and support equipment.
Interface effectively with the Operating Command and T-1A Program Management Office.
Actively enforce the company’s EEO/Affirmative Action Program.

Actively observe all company rules, regulations and policies.
EMPLOYEE PERFORMS OTHER JOB-RELATED TASKS AS ASSIGNED AND REQUIRED, AND MAY BE DESIGNATED AS A LEAD FSR, REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE T-6A MAINTENANCE SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR.
ANY DUTIES/TASKS INCLUDED IN THE EMPLOYEE'S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION ELEMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO THAT EMPLOYEE'S POSITION WITHIN THE JOB CLASSIFICATION.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The following minimum qualifications have been identified by subject matter expert's (SME'S) who have supervised this position or functioned in the position; they are based on job analysis information supplied by these SME'S.
However, if a candidate believes he/she is qualified for the job although he/she does not have the minimum qualifications set forth below, he/she may request special consideration through substitution of related education and experience, demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Any request to substitute related education or experience for minimum qualifications must be addressed to the Director of Human Resources in writing, identifying the related education and experience which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform all essential functions of the position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years recent experience with T-1A avionics, engine and airframe systems/subsystems or similar type aircraft.
Specifically, troubleshooting, assembly, operation, repair, installation, test, and use of aircraft airframe and power plant systems/subsystems.
An FAA Airframe & Power plant License is highly desirable.
Valid state driver’s license.
