Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, new construction and service work.
- Renovate existing electrical systems to meet current codes and standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and carpenters, to complete projects
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Keep accurate records of work performed
Requirements:
- Valid journeyperson electrician license
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and other tradespeople
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate installations and repairs
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces
