SUMMARY:
Works under the general supervision of the Surveillance Manager and is responsible for documenting, installing, configuring, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, relocating, removing, troubleshooting and testing various types of cameras throughout the establishments.
Maintains, repairs, and installs network alarms and electronic identification door readers.
Coordinates vendor activities regarding camera installation, and repair while being responsible for ensuring the surveillance system is always operating within regulatory guidelines.
Observes and reports findings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs Surveillance Department equipment such as wiring, cameras, PC equipment, racks, conduit, connectors and terminals.
Assists in planning, execution and the management of projects.
Negotiates and meets deadlines in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Maintains daily maintenance logs, and other related reports to monitor all surveillance information technology (IT) systems.
Inspects, maintains, troubleshoot and repairs surveillance camera systems at all locations.
Safely operates equipment such as man lifts, and aerial boom lift/truck to install and maintain cameras and equipment.
Uses tools to include ladders, power tools and various hand tools.
Communicate vendor maintenance activity to supervision.
Required to become familiar with Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS), Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) along with federal, state and tribal regulations governing the ITOGC.
Ensures effective internal/external communications with vendors and regulatory agencies.
Participates in the development and implementation of key strategies, best practice tactics, techniques and procedures to ensure system optimization.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree or equivalent, and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a surveillance officer or supervisor, security systems specialist, or related field.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
One to three years’ experience in systems administration and information security required, with casino related experience preferred.
Must possess effective communication skills, leadership skills, and be computer-literate, network literate, server literate, infosec literate, with usage skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and regulations.
Ability to generate well written reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively in a courteous manner to customers and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to deal with issues, while maintaining a calm professional bearing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to be in a sedentary position for long periods.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk.
The employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or climb stairs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.
A casino environment is typically smoky.
