Outside Sale Representative
Metals USA, a steel service center located in Enid, OK & Muskogee, OK, has a career opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative.
This position's main responsibility is to build and maintain our customer base by focusing on meeting customer needs, building relationships, and meeting our goal as a custom-driven company.
The Outside Sales Representative develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase the organization's stock sales as well as value-added processing sales.
Resolves customer issues, researches, and makes recommendations for potential product enhancements or modifications to increase sales.
Schedules and performs cold calls and calls to existing customers in assigned territory coverage of NW Oklahoma to Waco, TX areas.
Assists in the preparation of sales forecasts, quotes and/or negotiations.
Onsite training will be required and will begin upon hire and last approx.
2 months.
This training will be held between the Muskogee, OK and Enid, OK service centers.
Grows profitable sales within strategic and opportunistic segments.
Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales.
Generates value added business and introduces products to established clients.
Schedules and performs cold calls to existing customers in their assigned territory.
Researches and provides competitive information regarding the carbon-ferrous steel industry.
Maintains key customers to ensure a continued base of profitable industrial business.
Identifies the target lead decision maker in order to initiate the sale.
Provides profitable transactional business through solicitation, quoting, email or other tools to grow the business.
Estimates & quotes customer projects; plans and executes the sales plan; responds to the customer's request and collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure timely delivery of customer product.
Maintains a current understanding of industry trends and technical developments that influence target accounts.
Requirements:
Industrial sales experience; preferably in structural steel/ fabrication
Excellent verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
Good organizational and time management skills.
A valid driver's license is required with a good driving record.
Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen
