The 4-H marketing coordinator will manage the Oklahoma 4-H social media accounts, produce high-quality print and digital promotional materials and create opportunities to share compelling 4-H stories.
Joining an experienced creative team in the Office of Communications and Marketing for OSU Agriculture, they will work closely with the assistant director and state 4-H program leader to develop and implement appropriate content across multiple communications platforms in order to promote and highlight the Oklahoma 4-H Youth Development Program within the OSU community, state, region and country.
This highly visible position requires interacting with colleagues, clients and stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
Responsibilities: Serve as the brand advocate within 4-H, collaborating with the creative manager in the Office of Communications and Marketing to maintain working-level knowledge of brand guidelines and serve as a resource for 4-H staff.
Manage social media for Oklahoma 4-H.
Execute the planning and creation of content for social media channels.
Design and assist with a wide variety of projects including, advertising, promotional and marketing campaigns, educational resources and additional items as assigned that are precise, creative and meet accessibility requirements.
Work in collaboration with the department’s photographer and video team on photos and video of 4-H events and activities.
Manage and update 4-H webpages and employee intranet as needed.
Identify and prioritize needs related to 4-H webpage development and revisions.
Write and edit copy for marketing and digital materials including social media captions, website copy, the 4-H annual report and other stories as assigned.
Collaborate with others in the Office of Communications and Marketing to promote, publicize and otherwise generate positive visibility for the activities and programs of OSU Agriculture.
Other duties as assigned.

Six months of experience in communications, including but not limited to social media management, graphic design, print and electronic content creation, photography, video, website management, writing and/or related tasks/projects.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.
Reimbursement for official travel.
Duty reporting is in-person on the OSU campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Proficiencies and Knowledge: Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Graphic design, marketing and public relations skills required Ability to work within existing brand guidelines and designs to deliver cross-platform materials relevant for a variety of audiences including students, parents, volunteers and the public Comfortable with website design and maintenance Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs, including, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom and Photoshop Proficient in MS Office Suite Proofreading to ensure accurate and high-quality work Solid understanding of Associated Press style Experience in photography Experience in video creation for incorporation into web, email and social media Ability to work under deadline, both within a strategic communications team, as well as independently Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure a wide variety of projects are delivered on schedule Strong creativity, communication, innovation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in the university setting Basic knowledge of creating content that meets accessibility best practices a plus Knowledge of 4-H a plus Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Preferred: Master's in Ag Communications, Journalism, Strategic Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
One to three years of experience in communications, including but not limited to social media management, graphic design, print and electronic content creation, photography, video, website management, writing and/or related tasks/projects.
