*SURVIVOR RESOURCE NETWORK, INC.
* *JOB DESCRIPTION* *TITLE:* SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE COORDINATOR – ON CALL *POSITION SUMMARY:* Responsible for coordinating services necessary to assure that the physical and emotional needs of adult and child sexual assault victims are met with compassion and competency.
These services include linkage with appropriate components of the services system; supportive advocacy including accompaniment to medical, police, and other social service providers; court advocacy; public outreach; cooperation with area service providers; and maintaining accurate contact information for sexual assault clients and service providers.
*MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: * * Provide services including but not limited to: transportation and accompaniment to assault related services; individual assessment; service planning; assure timely access to and effective use of services; linkage with requisite services; and monitoring service delivery.
* Advocate on behalf of victims of sexual assault within the community, offering presentations and outreach activities throughout the service area.
* Provide non-therapeutic counseling to sexual assault clients.
* Work directly with partnering agencies to maintain effective service delivery and coordinate with potential partners to increase services available.
* Assist sexual assault clients in the role of court advocate, cooperating with the District Attorney’s Office.
* Coordinate and maintain the SANE program * Attend to the needs of sexual assault victims presenting at E.
R.
, Advocacy Center, Shelter, or Police Departments.
* Ensure continuous 24 hour availability of appropriate forms of assistance.
* Provide transport per grant requirement for these specific clients to and from examinations.
* Work in conjunction with other SRN agency coordinators and participate in the Kay County Sexual Assault Community Team.
* Prepare a monthly report summarizing activities.
*AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Advocate on behalf of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to prevent incidents of family, domestic and dating violence.
* Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
* Ensure the protection of client’s rights and confidentiality both in shelter and the community.
* Attend scheduled staff meetings and required in-service training.
* Attend program relevant training as required for certifications and standards.
* Maintain accurate client files and required funding paperwork - including grant reports and client database.
* Any additional duties as requested by the Executive Director or Board of Directors.
*QUALIFICATIONS: *Must possess understanding of sexual assault, good communication skills, and the capacity to work independently.
Should demonstrate ability to promote satisfactory relations with staff, Board, various service providers, and the community at large.
Degree in sociology, psychology, or related fields preferred and one year experience in related fields required.
Must be at least 24 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check.
*SUPERVISOR:* Executive Director *EMPLOYMENT STATUS: *Full Time - Non-Exempt; $15 - $17/hour Full Time - Non-Exempt; $31,200 - $41,600 (after one year) * This is an hourly position that allows flex within the 40 hour work week.
* This employee becomes salaried after the first year of employment.
* Once salaried, employee may flex their time within the two week pay period.
* Work from home as approved by the Executive Director and per policy is allowed after the first 90 days.
* Work from home hours may not exceed more than 20 hours a week.

* The work environment includes office, communal living facilities, and outdoor work areas.
* This work environment includes prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

* Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
* The work environment includes working with women and men and families fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and/or child abuse.
