Seeking: Assistant Professor of Professional Practice Costume Lab Manager
Oklahoma State University Theatre is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Professional Practice Costume Lab Manager and Instructor in Costume Technology, with a start date of August 1, 2024.
This nine-month position entails teaching Costume Technology and lab practicum courses, overseeing the costume lab budget, managing inventories, including maintenance and storage, and coordinating with student, volunteer, and paid lab personnel.
The responsibilities also include implementing costume designs for department productions, handling rentals and purchases, providing training and supervision to student wardrobe crews, attending production meetings, technical and dress rehearsals, and participating in departmental service activities.
The successful candidate for this role should demonstrate proficiency in theatrical patterning, draping, various construction techniques, dyeing, stitching, and crafts.
Additionally, excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills are necessary.

Qualifications: MFA in costume technology or equivalent, and evidence of successful university teaching preferred.
