Objective: Maintains accurate records of materials in inventory and on order, ensuring available for production based on forecast.
Monitors reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock.
Actively tracks forecasts and provides finished goods inventory needs to production manager, ensuring that finish good inventory is sufficient to fulfill orders to meet customer demands, without over stocking.
Duties:
• Assists in developing forecasts
• Monitors forecasts and adjust as needed with help from management; analyzing sales numbers and forecasting future inventory needs
• Monitors and maintains current inventory levels based on forecasts; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems
• Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures
• Place stock orders, as necessary
• Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports; investigate and reconcile any discrepancies
• Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored.
• Record daily deliveries and monitors daily shipments to reconcile inventory
• Manage cycle counts of product on a daily, weekly or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity.
• Process and document returns as required following established procedures
• Maintain and update inventory records by reviewing and applying inventory activities, including movements and deletions
• Establish, maintain and update bill of material listings for finished good products within the database to ensure accurate product costing as instructed by production management.

• Report any stock issues to management
• Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products
• Strong database management skills
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
• Analyze data to anticipate future needs
• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
• Support effort to categorically arrange and maintain warehouse, both physically and electronically for better efficiency and visibility of contents
• Coordinate with customer service and logistics departments.

Specifications and Requirements:
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a clerical setting
• Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.
g.
ERP)
• Ability to interact professionally, courteously, and tactfully with employees and managers
