Position Overview:
As our Accounting/Title Clerk, you will have an array of responsibilities to help keep our business running smoothly.
Our previous Accounting/Title Clerk is retiring which creates a natural transition plan for our new candidate to onboard! We operate as a tight-knit group – and we are excited to welcome the newest member of the team! Detailed responsibilities and qualifications are below.
Responsibilities:
* Process all incoming titles and maintain new/used vehicle title inventory.
* Audit title/paperwork received for accuracy and completeness on deals.
* Assist F&I Manager in completing lending paperwork to be submitted for funding and then submit paperwork to lending institutions for funding.
* Accurate recording of all vehicle liens.
* Daily bank payoffs including continuous follow up with banks
* Daily contract processing and follow up.
* Balance paperwork to ensure proper funding has been received.
Ensure accurate processing of floorplans.
* Prepare any required tax and title documents to be submitted to the DMV and customers including MSO and titles.
* Provide excellent customer service to dealer network and customers including phone and email communication to resolve open issues with paperwork.
* Call/Follow up on titles in transit (from payoffs, manufacturers, customers, etc.
)
* Call/Follow up on funding/contracts in transit (from lending institutions, etc.
)
* Contact banks to obtain lien releases if needed.
* Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed, therefore accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) are a plus.
* Comply and maintain a list of all outstanding title work and invoices.
Report to management on the status of any missing or problem title's and invoices.
* Maintain highest ethical practices and protect valuable company/customer information.
Qualifications:
* Sound judgment when faced with complex title issues
* Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and follow up skills
* Ability to work independently and meet all deadlines
* Ability to maintain strong working relationships with showroom and office staff
* Effective organization and prioritization skills
* Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills are a must
* Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Highest ethical standards
* Notary public preferred
