Job Summary:
Advises undergraduate students participating in Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) Programs.
The incumbent is responsible for the promotion, support, recruitment, retention, and provision of services to students utilizing OMA services, which includes discussion of academic, professional, and personal goals.
Additionally, assistance with tracking progress toward and completion of graduation requirements, career counseling, providing information about financial aid, tutoring, information about admission to graduate school, and other activities that align with objectives of OMA programming.
This position will also advise the Asian American and the Vietnamese American Student Associations and coordinate programs/activities with the Asian Alumni Association, the Asian Faculty and Staff Association, the Office of Admissions, the Graduate College, and other campus units and external organizations.

Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Higher Education, Educational Administration, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
Five years of experience in a comparable position.
Administrative experience that could include budgetary authority or similar levels of responsibility with unit programs and/or student groups; supervisory experience to include interviewing, training, and development, etc.
of employees and/or student leaders; or coordination of special projects.
Previous experience in programs or other entities providing services to underrepresented populations in higher education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, human relations skills, and sensitivity to the needs of individuals from underrepresented populations.

Previous experience in programs or other entities in providing services to diverse populations in higher education.
