Job Title Language Instructor Department Cultural Resources Division Supervisor Cultural Resources Director Position Overview Under direct supervision of the Cultural Resources Director, the Language Instructor will be responsible for the development, implementation, and periodic evaluation of the long-range community-based strategic plan for preserving and revitalizing the Pawnee Language through on-going research, education, and publication; secure and expand opportunities to increase awareness of the Pawnee Language and its dialects and culture; maintain a detailed inventory of all Pawnee Language resources; and, manage and complete any and all duties and responsibilities as may be described and required under any applicable grant application of agreement Essential Functions Exercise responsibility in implementation and monitoring of all program objectives and activities to include: -Weekly evening language class in-person or remotely Development of teaching materials Coordinate development, implementation and evaluation of broad-based Pawnee Languages curricula and related materials Seek out and adapt as needed materials for external sources for use in teaching the Pawnee Languages Develop personal Pawnee Languages skills sufficient to train teachers, volunteers, and other interested parties Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budget and individual project budgets Confer with tribal elders and persons knowledgeable of the Pawnee Language dialects Maintain a complete and detailed public inventory of all Pawnee Language materials
