Job Summary:
Serve students in the Spears School of Business by providing quality academic advising experiences that support personal, professional, and academic goals, major selection, and course selection.
Demonstrate initiative and provide proactive outreach by contacting advisees regarding academic difficulties, attendance, missed enrollment dates, scholarship opportunities, major choice, etc.
Assist with special projects such as Orientation and Enrollment, Cowboy Welcome, special academic programs, commencement, etc.
Position is primarily 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday.
Evenings and weekends may be required for special events.
Academic Advisors may be asked to travel off campus for recruiting events.

Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and zero to two years of advising and administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Will be required to utilize Student Information System and other university computer programs to assist with student enrollment and advisement processes.
Must be service oriented and able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and the general public in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions.
Master's degree in social sciences, education, counseling, or business.
Five years of advising and administrative experience.
