GARAGA Mid-America is looking for a customer service representative to join our team in Ponca City.
The person in this position will receive and process incoming orders for overhead doors/parts/merchandise.
Generally, receives orders via phone, fax, or e-mail.
Overflow duties include informing customers or receipt, prices, shipping dates, delays, preparing quotes and tracking truck deliveries.
RESPONSIBILITIES/AUTHORITIES:
Enter and approve orders from customers received by phone, fax, or email the same day they are received.
Main daily task is data entry of orders.
Input and properly process orders once entered.
Answer all incoming customer calls providing professional assistance and service in addition to follow-up, as needed; insuring needs of the customer are met.
Check and respond to emails throughout the day.
Transfer calls and take messages.
Quote customer price, discount, and availability as requested within 24 hours of request.
Respond to expedite requests received from customers.
Obtain customer technical information or request special quotes if necessary.
Confer with management or Customer Service Claims Rep to resolve problems or issues.
Attend training and assist new employees with training.
Follow-up and assist co-workers in completing daily tasks.
Assist logistics department to track deliveries and other daily tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills: Comfortable working with Microsoft applications and other systems.
Other Skills and Key Competencies: Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines.
Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
Detail oriented and recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment.
