SUMMARY: The recruiter will be responsible for recruiting eligible child care professionals for enrollment in a child development certificate or degree program at Northern Oklahoma College.
Additionally, the recruiter will be responsible for student follow up and application progress and other duties as assigned.
The position will begin contingent upon budget approval
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Recruit scholars from all eligible centers in the NOC assigned areas according to guidebook standards
Attend with the Scholar Coordinator and assist in providing promotional material to all partners and licensing staff at regular or quarterly meetings
Assist potential scholars with the SECC and college applications
Follow up on any problems or concerns with the scholar completing the scholarship application and other required paperwork needed for the application
Assist scholars with completing their FAFSA applications
Collect the scholarship application and other required documentation and submit all required forms to the Scholar Coordinator Assistant for processing
Assist the Scholar Coordinator and Assistant with required reports for NOC and OSRHE/DHS
Maintain all scholar progress notes for recruitment, director contact and application in the Scholarship Tracker
Assist the Scholar Coordinator and/or Assistant in creating, ordering and maintaining recruitment publications, fliers and mail outs
Provide statistical information to OSRHE as needed
Travel extensively in surrounding areas
Maintain job manual for position.
Serve on committees as assigned.
Attend all required SECC meetings, conferences and trainings
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Communicate clearly and effectively to students, administrators, faculty, and other employees.
Strong work ethic that accommodates high levels of responsibility, as well as strong prioritization and organizational skills with a detail-driven orientation and a high bar for quality.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of an Associates’ Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field; and five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
