Job Duties
Facilitate a coaching process to help staff develop individual goals to improve their environments, teaching practices to support young children’s growth and development, and overall program quality.
Provide professional development training opportunities to childcare professionals and other stakeholders around quality and developmentally appropriate practices.
Be a resource to early care professionals to support high-quality social and emotional teaching practices, developmentally appropriate practices, and improve overall program quality.
Collaborate with other agencies and partners to assist in enhancing the quality of care in the coaching region.
Attend all training, workshops, and regularly scheduled meetings with coaching team and community partners as required.
Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
Preference Statements
Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual.
Preference may be given to applicants who have experience in Child Care Services and/or classroom coaching/training experience.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;

An equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
*Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying.
Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.
