00, Hourly Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm or TBD by Supervisor Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Provide daily comprehensive administrative service for ES Utilities Production and Distribution Systems managers, supervisors and assistant supervisors, and organization staff as needed.
Collaborate with ES Admin Team on departmental processes and select projects and provide back-up administrative support for ES Accountant as needed.
Collaborate with managers to schedule and track training for Energy Services staff.
This position has responsibilities related to the entire Energy Services department and opportunities to contribute and positively impact the department's administrative operations and services.
Have before hire and maintain after hire, a valid driver's license.
A valid driver's license must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned.
Employee in this position is required to work overtime occasionally when work requires, when work can’t be accomplished during regular hours, and when management staff deems necessary.
The work environment is an administrative office in a state-of-the-art thermal plant where periodic loud noise is possible.
Employee in this position may occasionally be in the plant or on a jobsite, therefore they must use appropriate personal protective equipment as required (hard hat, vest, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
).
These items are provided and are not for personal use.
Required to work safely and promote a safe environment.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs (in the event the elevator does not work).
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while working at a desk on a computer.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: High School/GED and one to three years of clerical and/or customer service work experience related to the job duties as outlined in the job description.
Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

A valid driver's license must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned.
Good verbal and written communication skills; adept at time management and self-organization to accurately prioritize and perform multiple and/or fluctuating assignments.
Competent technological skills and experience working with MS Office software, database systems, and various types of office equipment.
Capable of maintaining accurate electronic and paper files and document security, and confidentiality as needed.
Must be able to comprehend and follow directions as provided by the supervisor and management and learn new systems as needed.
Required to work safely and promote a safe environment.
Preferred Qualifications: High School/GED and five years of experience contributing a range of administrative services in a professional office environment or two years post-secondary education and three years of experience providing comprehensive administrative service in a professional office environment.
Preference will be given to candidates that have experience providing comprehensive administrative service in a large professional office environment.
