The Grant Coordinator is the person with the primary responsibility for overseeing and managing the TSET Healthy Living Program.
This position will serve as the primary contact for TSET and partner organizations and will be responsible for attending all trainings and submitting all programmatic documents, reports, and surveys throughout the contract year.
This person will assist with development and oversight of budgets, program workplans, prepare all documents for the continuation of funding, and review all reports before submitted.
The Grant Coordinator provides all necessary documentation to the Financial Officer for preparation of the monthly claim for reimbursement by the required deadline and works with the Financial Officer to track program spending.
The Grant Coordinator will receive all important grant-related information disseminated by TSET.
Aside from the administrative duties described above, the Grant Coordinator must strive to meet and/or exceed program objectives and be an active participant in all phases of the grant, which includes gathering data for the community needs assessment, recruitment of partners and collaborative group members, problem solving to identify and address community gaps and barriers, goal setting through development and implementation of strategic plan, and program evaluation.
Job duties include but are not limited to: mobilization of local coalitions, facilitating monthly collaborative group, development and execution of work plans around the TSET Healthy Living Program, supervision of paid staff and volunteers, developing relationships with community partners and key stakeholders, and recruiting coalition and collaborative group members.
Comprehensively developing and submitting grant applications to continue funding, staying informed on current trends and practices of public health policy and standards, educate local stakeholders, monitors and adheres to funded program budget, maintains compliance with financial and institutional procedures of TSET and OSU, attends all trainings/conferences/meetings required by grant, develops grant reports/collects data/maintains grant program data, and works closely with OSU/TSET/OSDH to ensure compliance of all grant procedures and criteria.
Must possess valid Driver's license and dependable transportation.
Travel within Oklahoma including service areas is required.
Some evenings and weekend work is required.
The coordinator could work with, supervise, and organize community volunteers across the community sectors and stakeholders, contacted entities and stipend personnel.

Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Education, Public Health, Health Promotion, Marketing, PR, or related field.
One year of related experience in programs implementing environmental prevention strategies, evaluation, grant writing.
Skills in management, report writing, as well as oral and written communication.
Budgeting and supervisory experience is required.
To successfully perform the duties of the position, applicant must have knowledge of work in tobacco control, built environment, active living and transportation and strategies to increase access to healthy foods and beverages using and integrated approach; have capacity to collect, review, analyze, prioritize and use program and health-related data to make decisions, select strategies and develop a data drive strategic plan to address identified tobacco control and obesity issues; provide expertise around community mobilization and capability building in communities across the service area and demonstrate the ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with stakeholders to foster mutual respect and trust to accomplish common goals and objectives; demonstrated experience related to community leadership and political process; demonstrate self-efficacy, flexibility, and the ability to see the big picture along with trustworthiness, patience, energy and hope.
Proven management skills, including planning and time-management of self and staff.
Facilitate teamwork, share power, and delegate responsibility.
Cultural competency and ability to effectively interpret data to community stakeholders.
Experience in providing consultation and technical assistance relating to the development, implementation, and assessment of coordinated TSET Healthy Living Program including the ability to effectively: provide technical assistance to various community sectors, including businesses, schools, cities and government, and community institutions and organizations.
Competence in the use of computers for writing reports, data acquisition, and analysis is necessary.
Display oral and written communication skills, skills in grant writing, develop and deliver presentations, facilitate, coordinate and lead training and workshop events for adults and youth, create and analyze budgets, goal setting with SMART objectives, formulating and implementing policies and procedures, ability to collaborate as a team member, ability to supervise other program staff, and be a self-starter with high motivation to succeed.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Education, Public Health, Health Promotion, Marketing, PR, or related field.
