SUMMARY: Responsible to the Vice President for Development and Community Relations, the Information Receptionist serves as the college switchboard answering and directing telephone calls for Northern Oklahoma College, a multi-campus institution with locations in Tonkawa, Enid and Stillwater.
The Information Receptionist also provides information and assistance to the public; and performs a variety of responsible administrative and clerical duties in support of various administrative offices.
This position is located on the Tonkawa campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Answer and direct telephone calls for the college.
Serve on the Emergency Response Communications Team and maintain NOC Rave Emergency Alert System.
Assist the development and community relations office with various clerical tasks including mailings, scanning, etc.
Assist the scholarship office with various clerical tasks including scanning, indexing, filing, etc.

Assist the webmaster with clerical tasks including proofing and editing webpages for content, contact information, campus directory, broken links, etc.
Maintain job manual for position with regular updates to describe processes when substitutions are needed.
Perform all other duties necessary to accomplish the educational objective of the College and/or as assigned by the Vice President for Development and Community Relations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as expertise to accomplish the above essential duties and responsibilities are required.
The Information Receptionist must preserve confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
Creativity; team player with strong organizational and customer service skills; effective oral and written communication skills; and proficiency of Microsoft Office applications are required.
Must be able to work under pressure; set priorities and maintain professionalism when dealing with individuals.
Weekend and evening work may be required with a flexible 40-hour work week schedule.
Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of an associate degree preferred; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, push, lift, haul, pull, reach, carry, grasp, squat or stoop, bend and twist the body while performing essential duties, use hands to operate controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear.
