Job Description:
The Human Resources Assistant/Payroll Clerk is responsible for providing support in the planning, direction and coordination of HR activities of both Continental Concrete and Charter Services.
Including but not limited to: benefit administration, employee time and payroll data, job analysis and position classification.
Must have a strong teamwork mentality and keep the goals of the Company at the forefront of their mind.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
· 3+ years high-level administrative experience
· Understanding of current federal and state laws including regulations such as EEOC, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, HIPPA, OSHA, and Worker’s Compensation
· Strong time management skills
· Confidentiality with day-to-day tasks
· Proficient with computer including Microsoft office and the Internet
· Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment in an organized and efficient manner
· Ability to prioritize and problem-solve
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Exhibit sound judgment and attention to detail
· Consistently role model work traits including dependability, reliability, personal responsibility, timeliness, accountability and initiative to do whatever is needed to meet company goals
Job Requirements:
· Maintain accurate timekeeping of all staff in applicable time management software
· Prepare payroll, manhour, per diem, ISNET data and other various reports as required
· Work in an innovative fashion, seeking solution to daily issues as they arise
· Coordinate with HR Manager on scheduling and completion of employee benefit enrollments, including but not limited to: open enrollment, 401k, FSA, etc.
· Maintain and upkeep accurate files for paper applications
· Aid in maintenance of personnel files
· Maintain I9 files and assist in reporting
· Assist HR Manager in completion of projects, audits and other applicable day to day tasks
· Serve as primary point of contact with staff and crews with a customer service and teamwork first mentality
· Complete processing of new hires, on-boarding, interviews, termed employees, COBRA initiation, exit interviews
