47-24 Accountant/ Senior Accountant: The Accountant position is a progressive track position to Senior Accountant.
The position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the financial records of the City, assisting with the annual preparation of City financial reports, compliance with financial regulations, and completion of complex analytics.
This is a self-directed position requiring the ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and rate setting methodology.
The Accountant/Senior Accountant position is part of a team sharing the essential job functions and reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Minimum one year of experience in Accountant, master’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
Senior Accountant- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience (increasing in complexity) in Accounting.
Senior Accountant must be certified as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO), and/or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and maintain certification.
Valid driver’s license.
Must obtain Oklahoma license within one month of hire.
Salary Range: $56,659.
20- $93,059.
