Paid health benefits for employee QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency in typing, spelling, grammar, proofreading and composition.
Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of office equipment, machines, computer experience and bookkeeping.
Experience as a secretary required.
Ability to work as a team and communicate positively with supervisors, office co-workers, teachers, administrators and applicants.
High school diploma or equivalent.
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director SUPERVISES: N/A JOB OVERVIEW: The Athletic Secretary assists the Athletic Director with the daily tasks necessary to operate and grow a successful athletic program.
RESPONSIBILTIES Assists in preparing athletic grade eligibility.
Sells reserve tickets.
Assists in placement of workers for athletic events.
Assists in overseeing financial transactions for the athletic department.
Assist with tickets and beginning change for all athletic events.
Assists in arranging venues for athletic events.
Assists coaches with communication, as needed.
Assists in collecting rosters, end-of-season records, scores and inventories from varsity sports.
Coordinates letter program for sports.
Assists in confirming all athletic event dates and officials.
Responsible for athletic web page.
(posting news, schedules, cancellations, etc.
) Assists in coordinating all passes for CCOSA and OSSAA and memberships for OCA Assists in updating athletic handbook and policy publications.
Answers athletic department phone calls and take messages, as well as clerical duties.
Assists in arranging transportation for sports.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Follows all district policies and state and federal laws; Works effectively with staff, students and public; Makes independent decisions, when appropriate; Organizes tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks; Demonstrates good judgment and good problem-solving skills; Responds appropriately to evaluation and changes in the work setting.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 240-Day Contract – Non-Exempt PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sit or stand for long periods of time Speak, hear, see, stand and walk Stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment EVALUATION: In accordance with Board Policy and appropriate procedural regulations.
Superintendent or designee responsible for completing the evaluation.
SALARY RANGE: Schedule as determined by the EPS Support Negotiated Contract BENEFITS: This position includes fully-funded health insurance for the employee that may be waived for additional salary, if preferred.
