Job Summary:
Administer sponsored agreements consisting of all federal, state and private agencies.
Invoicing, financial reporting, preparation of financial reconciling documents, auditing of all disbursements.
Interpretation and application of cost accounting standards, OMB Uniform Guidance, state regulations/laws, University policies and procedures and any terms and conditions of the award.
Approval of expenditures via various electronic systems for allowability, allocability, and reasonableness.
Monthly review of financial reports for each award.
Monitoring of outstanding receivables to extend to working with outside sponsors, college research offices and faculty to assure payments are received.
Communication with sponsors and guidance to colleges on various issues.
Provide training to outside offices as requested by supervisor.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Personal Computer skills and experience with software applications such as Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Access, familiar with the Internet and HTML.
Ability to use Office Equipment efficiently and effectively.
General knowledge of University Administrative Systems and abilities to use the systems for job responsibilities.
Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, fund accounting principles, and federal and state regulations and the ability to apply knowledge in appropriate job responsibilities.
Must be able to identify significant problems that must be resolved and acquire sufficient objective facts relevant to the problems.
Critical thinking skills necessary to analyze problems and formulate solutions and be able to apply technical knowledge in solving problems.
Must be self-starter in approach to work and self-development; reaches for responsibility.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Emphasis upon the ability to articulate to supervisor and to others issues impacting efficient and effective departmental and institutional operations.
Must maintain objectivity and integrity at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Five years in accounting or financial sponsored program.
Certified Public Accountant; Certified Research Administrator; Certified Internal Auditor; and/or Certified Fraud Examiner.
Previous Experience in Federal Grant Management; Internal or External Auditing; Experience in Customer or Client Services
