*SUMMARY*
Comark Equity Alliance LLC (CEA), a proactive relationship-driven grain risk management company, is searching for a Senior Accountant to complete our team.
This position performs accounting tasks and assists the Controller and CFO in ensuring accurate accounting records and providing maximum service to members and patrons.
Also responsible for working with the CEA accounting team to execute all grain division strategic plans, performance goals, and expected financial results.
*RESPONSIBILITIES* (include the following and others may be assigned)
Provide excellent customer service to all CEA customers by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs; resolving questions, complaints, and concerns immediately; and meeting commitments;
Assist with month end bank reconciliation as assigned by CFO;
Assist in daily reconciliation of the broker statements which includes booking fund transfers and booking transaction fees;
Assist with cash flow management (grain drafts, advances, ACH’s, and wire transfers);
Ensure accurate and balanced grain positions;
Ensure grain settlements in accordance with State and Federal law and company policy;
Balance prior day grain purchases and sale/contract bushels;
Analyse and evaluate inventory;
Assist in Month End Financial compilation;
Prepare other periodic reporting and analysis as required;
Familiar with the physical facilities and staff of CEA’s owner/member associations;
Follow sound business principles in the supervision of the financial activities the company;
Prepare necessary audit documentation and meet with auditors to ensure compliance;
Balance inventory, general ledgers and prepare financial statements;
Provide accounting and technical support to cooperatives;
Recommend modifications to existing accounting practices;
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies;
*QUALIFICATIONS *
Qualified applicants must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and four to six years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A strong ability to multi-task and great attention to detail required.
Grain industry accounting experience preferred.
