We are hiring a Senior Accountant and would love for you to bring your experience
to our team! Starting salary commensurate with applicable experience.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and practices as normally ac-
quired through work experience and/or education.
A bachelors’ degree in account-
ing or a related field, and two to four years of accounting experience, or an equiv-
alent combination of experience and education is preferred.
CPA license preferred
or a willingness to acquire.
Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant performs a variety of accounting tasks to assist the CFO and
Executive Director, Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for
the organization.
Areas of responsibility include preparation of financial statements
and analysis of GAAP and statutory guidance to ensure compliance with reporting
requirements.
Job Duties include but not limited to the following:
» Assist with preparation of GAAP basis financial statement, including related foot-
notes, schedules, and analysis.
» Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements including
the assigned schedules for NAIC quarterly, annual statements and related supple-
mental filings.
» Prepare and/or review regulatory filings and reports for the organization.
» Monitor investment records and ensure proper financial statement presentation.
» Reconcile and/or review general ledger accounts and analyze for accuracy and
compliance with company procedures.
» Other senior-level accounting, analysis and reporting functions as required.
