First National Bank of Oklahoma is an independently owned, strong, and growing bank seeking a Lender Trainee.
As our Lender Trainee, you you will act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and you will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.
Equally you will support senior officers by keeping financial spreads, credit memos and file information up to date.
Lending Responsibilities:
Assist customers in completing loan applications or financial statements
Collect pertinent information required for loan application
Evaluate credit worthiness by interviewing loan applicants
Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
Research and document collateral values
Prepare credit memorandums and cash-flow analysis, as needed
Collect past dues with calls and letters
Present applications for credit to Senior lender
Communicate declination or approval to customer
Process loan or declination
Credit Analysis Responsibilities:
Input tax returns and financial statements into spreadsheets
Update basic credit memo information
Work exceptions for loan officers
Special projects as assigned
Skills Required:
Microsoft Excel and Word proficient
Good written and oral communication
Must enjoy analyzing financial information
Positive attitude
Desire to manage time, work efficiently and meet timelines
Good team member
Willingness to go the “extra mile” to build relationships with co-worker and customers
Willing to operate inside compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending policy guidelines
Desire to be dependable through good attendance
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or applicable degree area preferred or 5 years of related business experience.
